Manuscripts are to be submitted to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by February 28, 2018. Contributions should be prepared as Word documents using standard A4 format.

The text should generally not exceed 8000 words, including tables and references. Illustrations, tables and photographs should be submitted as separate files. The preferred format is jpg. Copyright clearance needs to be obtained by the author.

The separate front page (page 0) of the paper should include the title, full name and title of the author, affiliation, and contact details (e-mail address, mailing address and phone number). If there are more authors, the required data should be included for each of them. The title must be repeated on the following page.

The language of the submitted papers can be Croatian or English. If the authors intend to submit articles in other languages, they should first consult the editorial board at the e-mail addresses given above. Accuracy and appropriateness of the language is the responsibility of the author. Accordingly, papers and abstracts in another language should be proofread and edited.

An abstract of up to 300 words should clearly state the problem addressed by the paper, and include the results, main observations and the conclusion. It should include six key words in alphabetical order in the language of the paper and in English. If the paper is in English, the abstract and the key words should, if possible, also be written in Croatian.

The text should not be paginated, and the font should be Times New Roman (font size 12, spacing 1.5). The text should be aligned on both sides.

The title of the paper should be bolded and given in font size 14. The subtitles should be bolded and separated from the body of the text. Sections and subsections need to be numbered (1.1, 1.1.1). Section titles should be preceded by two blank lines and followed by one blank line. Indent all paragraphs except for the first one of each new section.

Footnotes should be placed at the bottom of each page. Do not use footnotes to cite references. Use them for additional explanations only.

Words or phrases in languages other than the language of the article should be in italics and accompanied by a translation between single quotes, e.g. Sprache 'language'. Transliterate or transcribe all forms in any language not normally written with the Latin alphabet unless there is a compelling reason for using the original orthography.

At the end of the manuscript provide a full bibliography, beginning on a separate page with the heading References (left justified). Arrange the entries alphabetically by surnames of authors. Full authors' names need to be included. List multiple works by the same author in ascending chronological order. Use suffixed letters a, b, c etc. to distinguish more than one item published by a single author in the same year.

Potential Appendices should be given at the very end of the paper and should contain those parts of the paper that could not be incorporated in the text body (drawings, tables, questionnaires etc.).

Citation guidelines

Quotations should be given in double quotation marks. Provide the author, year and specific page citation in-text, and include the complete reference in the References section. For quotations that are more than four lines long, place quotations in a free-standing block (1 cm indent, font size 11, single-spaced) and omit quotation marks. The reference should come after the closing punctuation mark. Indicate ellipsis with three periods, with a blank space before and after, like … this. All tables and figures should be labelled below (Table 1.; Figure 2.), referred to in-text (e.g. see Figure 3) and followed by a caption.

References are cited in the text according to the surname of the author, the year of publication, and page number(s) where relevant, e.g. (Surname year) or (Surname and Surname year: page). Data previously mentioned in the text should not be repeated in the brackets.

If a cited publication has more than two authors, use the surname of the first author, followed by et al. (Surname et al. year).
